The acclaimed countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński returns to Madrid for a very special recital with pianist Michal Biel.
Considered by The New York Times as 'a rising star in classical music', Orliński has quickly become one of the most prominent countertenors in the world, with performances that have accumulated millions of views on YouTube, such as his performance of Vedrò con mio diletto (Vivaldi) at the Aix-en-Provence festival.
An exclusive artist on the Warner/Erato label, he won an Opus Klassik award with his first album (Anima Sacra). Her second album (Facce d'amore) was awarded at the International Opera Awards in 2021. In addition, December 2021 saw his long-awaited debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, where he played the role of Orpheus in the opera Orpheus and Eurydice. In the 2022/23 season, he made his debut at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in the same role and opera, under the baton of Thomas Hengelbrock.
